Delete your account

You can delete your PlanetPassport account and everything stored with it at any time.

In the app

1. Open PlanetPassport and go to Account.
2. Tap Delete account and confirm.
3. Choose whether to keep your travel record on that phone or delete it too.

Your account, cloud backups and synced data are removed from our active systems straight away. Encrypted disaster-recovery copies expire within 7 days.

Without the app

Email support@planetpassport.app from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm with a code sent to that address; if you no longer have that mailbox, say so and we will find another way to confirm it is you. We will delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

Your account and email address	Encrypted disaster-recovery copies, for up to 7 days
Your cloud backup copies	The travel record on your phone, if you chose to keep it
Your synced trips, visits, profile and settings	Purchases stay with your Apple or Google account
	Records the privacy policy says we keep for a set time (for example support emails and security records)
	Files you exported and copies on phones that are no longer signed in

Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. You do not have to cancel first, but to stop renewals, manage the subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.
